Mass Communications Day at Jackson State University is just around the corner. This year’s theme is “Creating and Engaging in a Digital World.” The event will be held Wednesday, April 17th at the MS e-Center JSU Convention Hall from 8:30 a.m-3:00 pm. It will include a social media bootcamp and panel discussion with guest panelists Alex McDaniel of the Clarion Ledger, Jason Thompson of Fahrenheit Creative Group, Thomas Broadus of The Focus Group and Brad Franklin of Our Glass Media Group. JSU Mass Comm alumni panelists include WBRZ-TV anchor Adrian Pittman, Jessica Semien of J.Semien PR, Inc. and Kristen Witherspoon of Mississippi Public Broadcasting. For the first time, there will be a student showcase and an online portfolio competition.
The Keynote speaker will be Ms. Wanda Lloyd of the Montgomery Advertiser and the Freedom Forum. And as always, the event will celebrate our graduating seniors during an awards luncheon. See you there! Follow @JSUMassComm, #jsumcday13 on Twitter
